NNLOA Mission

WHO WE ARE

The Northern Nevada Lacrosse Officials Association (NNLOA) is a non-profit organization formed to provide nationally certified Lacrosse Officials for all levels of the boys and girls game in the Northern Nevada and High Sierra areas. All officials are members of US Lacrosse® and receive training from USA Lacrosse® certified trainers. The NNLOA is managed by a Board of Directors that is elected by the membership. The Northern Nevada and High Sierra area has over 50 teams and 1,500 players that compete at all levels from U8 to senior league ages 40+.

MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to provide the highest quality officials at all levels of play. The NNLOA will work with all Lacrosse organizations in our area to ensure fair and safe play, promote sportsmanship, educate players and coaches about the application of the rules, and to grow the game of Lacrosse.

VISION

Our vision is to provide the highest quality of training available to officiate every Lacrosse contest fairly and safely. The NNLOA will provide nationally certified officials for all levels of play in Northern Nevada and the High Sierra region.

  • NNLOA officials will exercise the highest level of self-discipline, professionalism, integrity, humility, respect and responsibility.
  • NNLOA officials will be educated and trained on all aspects of the application, intent, enforcement and spirit of the rules of Lacrosse.
  • NNLOA officials will officiate all contests safely, fairly and according to the rules.
  • NNLOA officials will exercise their authority in an impartial, consistent and controlled manner.
  • NNLOA officials will master both the rules and the mechanics necessary to properly apply and enforce the rules.
  • NNLOA officials will prepare themselves both physically and mentally, will dress neatly and appropriately, and will comport themselves in the highest standards of the profession.
